The Coach Ange Espero story
Who is Coach Ange Espero ?
Ange Espéro de Souza, known as Coach Ange Espero, was born on January 21, 2000. The son of a bilingual father with a perfect command of French and English, he grew up in an environment conducive to the early acquisition of the English language. His English-speaking upbringing shaped his language skills from an early age.
From junior high onwards, he distinguished himself by his exceptional talent for English. Some of his teachers even entrusted him with the task of assisting them, or even replacing them when they were absent. He took advantage of this to teach English to his classmates, adopting the role of teacher and speaking only in English, which enabled him to hone his skills even further.

Talents early
Already in middle school, his mastery of the language was so impressive that many learners sought his help at home. Whether it was his classmates or older students, he didn't hesitate to mentor them, sharing his knowledge with passion.
Despite his exceptional level for his age, his father, determined to make him a reference in language mastery, offered him a unique learning environment. Not only did he provide him with a stimulating environment, conducive to linguistic exchanges with native speakers, but also with one of the best trainers to accompany him in his progress. His aim was to perfect his speaking and listening skills, preparing him to reach a higher level at an early age.
Mentoring & further training
Under the supervision of experts - his personal trainer and those of the SEA English club where he was a member and head of the Story and Joke section - he was able to go even further. This club, which he joined thanks to his mentor, was a real learning community, where he could exchange ideas with other enthusiasts and perfect his language skills. His love of English and total immersion in the language led him to take first place in an English competition organized by the Sens de l'Elite Africaine, a landmark achievement in his career.
After graduating from high school, although he wanted to go to the École Normale Supérieure in Porto-Novo to become an English teacher, his father had other plans for him. So he ended up studying food technology at the École Polytechnique d'Abomey-Calavi, after being selected as a scholarship student by the government. However, once he had completed his studies in food technology, he decided to follow his true passion: teaching English. He undertook international training not only to become an English teacher, but also to gain worldwide recognition, with the ambition of teaching abroad. This is how he obtained his TEFL certification.
Creation of the academy
Driven by a deep-seated desire to make an impact in Africa, and in Benin in particular, and to enable French speakers to master English and turn it into a lever for success, in 2023 he created his language academy, the CAEL Academy. Today, this academy brings together numerous students from Benin and abroad, all supervised by a team of experts. Thanks to this team and hard work, the results are remarkable: a pass rate of 98 %. This success has encouraged students to recommend the academy to their friends and family, and many are surprised to see their loved ones speak English so fluently and accurately.
